Community & Content Policy

MediaLab is committed to providing safe places for users to connect with their interests, friends, and the world around them. We take measures to create user communities that reflect our values and do so in a number of ways.

  • We employ human moderators;
  • use AI technologies;
  • give our users the power to control their interactions and report violations directly from the app;
  • partner with industry leaders in online safety.

Users may not upload, post, send or store content that:

  • violates or infringes any third-party right, including any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, moral right, privacy right, right of publicity, or any other intellectual property or proprietary right;
  • is false, intentionally misleading, illegal or promotes an illegal activity or that impersonates any other person or entity, including MediaLab;
  • is bullying, harassing, abusive, threatening, vulgar, obscene, or offensive, or that contains pornography, nudity, or graphic or gratuitous violence, or that promotes violence, racism, discrimination, bigotry, hatred, or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual;
  • is harmful to minors in any way or targeted at persons under the age of 13 (or such other age as determined by us at our sole discretion, taking into account factors such as the jurisdiction in which you are resident);
  • spams or solicits MediaLab users to purchase anything illegal (or such other items as determined by us at our sole discretion);
  • requests any form of identification or illegal content from MediaLab users; or
  • interferes with the positive experience of other users of the Services.

We address emergency and high-risk behaviors that violate our Community Standards and Terms of Service (TOS). Non-compliance with MediaLab’s TOS result in a number of possible actions, including but not limited to:

Action(s) Against Users:

  • remove profile picture;
  • change username;
  • disable chat privileges;
  • ban/terminate account;
  • report to police.

Action(s) Against Groups:

  • remove profile picture;
  • change display name;
  • terminate group.
